In a surprise announcement made less than 12 hours before it was supposed to start, D-CELL GAMES’ anime-style rhythm game Unbeatable has been moved back to December 9th, 2025. The team said they found a serious bug that would stop the game from working right, which made the last-minute change necessary.
The delay was announced in a developer post on Steam by RJ Lake, one of the game’s directors. Unbeatable, which was funded via Kickstarter in 2021, was originally set to release on November 6th across PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
The main reason for the delay is a major bug found late in testing. This severe problem stops players from moving forward in the game. The makers realized fixing it meant they had to push back the date for the console release. To make sure the game comes out on the same day for everyone (including consoles), they decided to delay the full launch until December.
In Unbeatable, players take on the role of vocalist Beat, who, along with her band, resists a tyrannical government that has outlawed music, bringing rhythm back to the world via engaging gameplay.
