Mountaintop Studios has officially unveiled its revolutionary competitive tactical FPS Spectre Divide. This innovative game introduces the Duality mechanic, a feature that promises to change the landscape of tactical shooters.

Spectre Divide is a 3v3 tactical FPS that elevates the genre with its Duality mechanic, allowing players to control two bodies in real time. This feature, known as the Spectre, lets players switch between their two bodies during a match. Whether defending bomb sites, covering teammates, or seeking redemption after being taken down, Duality adds a fresh tactical layer to traditional gameplay.

The game’s world is inspired by anime aesthetics, influenced by ’90s Japanese cel animation, enhancing the visual appeal with clean and striking designs. The arsenal in Spectre Divide includes futuristic technology such as the Partition and Splinter Grenade, each integrated with the Duality system for a unique combat experience. Players can compete solo or in teams, alternating between attacker and defender roles in matches centered around planting or defusing the ZEUS device.

The development team includes talent with experience from major titles such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valorant, Apex Legends, Overwatch, Call of Duty, and Halo. Their expertise, combined with contributions from genre experts like Shroud, has shaped Spectre Divide into a fast-paced, competitive shooter designed to excite players.

Players will have the chance to experience Spectre Divide themselves during the first major test, which will take place from August 3 to 4. To gain access, they need to visit the official Steam Store page and click the “Request Access” button. The latest details on test dates and times are available in the studio’s dedicated announcement post.
