Forest Reigns, a Post-Apocalyptic Shooter from a Ukrainian Studio Inspired by S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Has Been Announced

Ukrainian studio VG Entertainment has announced Forest Reigns, a single-player first-person shooter that combines elements of survival, exploration, and RPG. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic Paris, now covered by an evolving forest and dangerous creatures.

VG Entertainment’s head, Ruslan Didenko, described the studio’s vision: “We wanted to create a game where the player’s freedom of action shapes the story and brings unique experiences. With Forest Reigns, we are exploring something bold and fresh for the first-person shooter genre.”

In Forest Reigns, players will navigate a dynamic world where the forest is not just a backdrop but a living entity. The forest reacts to your decisions, sometimes serving as an ally, sometimes as a terrifying enemy. The story unfolds non-linearly, and missions involve either collaborating with or fighting against the in-game factions, with every choice impacting the story’s outcome.

Survival is a key element of the game. Resources are scarce, so you’ll need to gather supplies and craft tools to survive. Similar to S.T.A.L.K.E.R., a wide selection of weapons will be available to you, and you will fight diverse enemies, including mutated animals and humans.

The game will be available on PC via Steam, though a release date has not yet been announced.
