Independent developer ChimpWampus and publisher Neverland Entertainment have officially announced Sleepover, a post-apocalyptic cosmic horror visual novel that combines psychological storytelling with an emotional mystery.

The story follows Yuna, seemingly the last human left alive after the entire population of Earth mysteriously disappears. Isolated, overwhelmed by regret, and struggling to find a reason to keep going, her lonely existence takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious girl named Fermi suddenly appears at her door.

What follows is a single night shared between two strangers at what may be the very end of humanity. As players explore Yuna’s apartment, they’ll uncover details about her past, her family, and the emotional scars left behind by a world that no longer exists. However, the deeper you dig, the more unsettling things become.

Sleepover leans heavily into psychological and cosmic horror themes. You are encouraged to investigate objects throughout the apartment, piece together clues, and slowly unravel the truth behind the apocalypse. The developers promise a narrative focused on fear, uncertainty, regret, and the search for hope when everything seems lost.

The game is currently scheduled to launch on Steam in Q3 2027, and its newly revealed premise is already turning heads.
