Publisher Playstack and solo developer Stubby Games have officially announced VOID/BREAKER, an intense roguelite FPS that promises fast-paced action, deep weapon customization, and revolutionary environmental destruction. The game will initially be available in Steam Early Access this year, with a full release planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.

The plot of VOID/BREAKER places you in a world where a hostile AI controls an endless cycle of combat and death. However, unlike standard FPS titles, the emphasis here is not exclusively on shooting, but on speed, agility, and strategic thinking. Movement is fluid, and the environment can be dynamically destroyed, which opens up new tactical possibilities.

One of the game’s most impressive aspects is the weapon customization system, which allows for hundreds of different modification combinations. Depending on the selected upgrades, weapons can become devastating, and discovering synergies becomes crucial for progression. Environmental destruction is not just a visual detail; breaking down walls and collapsing structures can be used to outsmart opponents.

Behind the project is Daniel Stubbington, known for the acclaimed puzzle game The Entropy Centre from 2022. Following the success of the Portal-inspired logic game, Stubbington is moving on to his second passion: fast-paced shooters with roguelite elements. According to him, VOID/BREAKER represents his most ambitious game to date, which you can see in the first trailer shown during the Triple-i Initiative Showcase.
