Long-Awaited DLC for the Cult Platformer Katana ZERO is Finally Coming, Although We Haven’t Received a Release Date Yet

After years of anticipation, developer Askiisoft and publisher Devolver Digital have released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming DLC for the action platformer Katana ZERO. The expansion will be free and continues the story of the well-known protagonist, Zero, revealing new details about his mysterious past.

The new trailer was presented during the recent Triple-i Initiative Showcase, which revealed that the expansion will bring entirely new characters, levels, story, and additional gameplay elements, while retaining the same intense rhythm and brutally elegant combat style. The main hero continues his bloody odyssey through the neon-noir world.

Katana ZERO is already known for its unique combination of precise platforming sequences and a tactical, deadly combat system. You must rely on reflexes, time manipulation, and creative tactics to survive in a world where every move can decide between life and death.

Although a concrete release date has not yet been announced, Devolver suggests that the DLC is in the final stages of development. The original game is available for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, while the PlayStation 4 version is still planned following its ESRB certification in 2021.
