Italian developer Games On A Chair and indie publisher Pretty Soon have announced that FEED IT will launch for PC via Steam on August 17. The psychological horror game marks the studio’s first commercial release and offers an unsettling survival experience built around a unique premise.
Inspired by genre classics such as Silent Hill and Mouthwashing, FEED IT places players in a disturbing relationship with an insatiable monster. Instead of fighting the creature, you must coexist with it, constantly deciding whether to satisfy its endless hunger or prioritize their own survival.
As you explore maze-like environments searching for food, every decision carries consequences. Choosing to feed yourself restores the strength needed to escape, while feeding the monster may keep its anger at bay. Balancing these competing needs forms the core of the game’s psychological tension.
Designed as a short but highly replayable experience, FEED IT focuses on exploration, environmental storytelling, and minimal interactions. Throughout the journey, players gradually uncover the mystery surrounding their situation while asking unsettling questions: Who are you? Where are you? Who is knocking at the door? And most importantly, is there any way to escape?
Reflecting on the upcoming launch, the developers said: “We’ve been pouring so much blood and sweat into this game, and we cannot wait to get it into the player’s hands! It comes from a deeply personal place, and we sincerely hope it will resonate just as deeply with people. That’s our ultimate goal as artists, designers and creators.”
