Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Ashborne Games have delayed the Early Access launch of The Guild – Europa 1410 from its previously scheduled July 16 release to September 2026 for PC via Steam. The decision follows extensive feedback gathered during Steam Next Fest, where the game’s demo attracted significant player attention.

According to the developers, the demo ranked as the 25th most-played title out of more than 4,000 featured games, with tens of thousands of players trying the medieval business and dynasty simulator. In a statement, the team thanked the community for its detailed feedback, explaining that it helped identify areas requiring additional work before Early Access.

Instead of releasing the first planned content update in September, THQ Nordic confirmed that this content will now be included in the game’s initial Early Access build alongside several additional improvements.

The September version will introduce a new tutorial map, a redesigned user interface with automation options for repetitive business tasks, improved worker and citizen animations, and expanded language support, including text and voice-over localization for selected languages.

The developers emphasized that the delay does not affect the long-term roadmap. Planned post-launch updates, including multiplayer, additional maps, new professions, and expanded economy, politics, and dynasty systems, remain in development and will arrive after Early Access begins.

Before launch, players will also receive an update for the current demo, allowing them to test some of the upcoming improvements ahead of the September release. While the delay means a longer wait for fans, THQ Nordic says the additional development time will help deliver a stronger Early Access experience shaped by community feedback.
