The team behind the hit game Soulstone Survivors is ready to explore a darker and more cooperative direction with their next project. Game Smithing has officially revealed Veil of the Soulstones, a real-time auto-battler action game set to release on Steam in 2026.
While Veil of the Soulstones moves away from the exact style of the studio’s previous game, it keeps the deep build-focused design that fans enjoy. You take on the role of a Void Hunter and choose from six different classes, each with its own skills, powers, and playstyle.
The main goal is to explore corrupted lands, fight dangerous enemies, and collect weapons, armor, and jewelry to grow stronger. Progress comes from finding powerful item sets and unlocking traits that work together to create strong chain reactions in battle.
The game is built around cooperation, but it can also be played alone. According to Game Director and studio founder Allan Smith, the co-op experience mixes fast action with tense moments that often feel like a horror game. Darkness plays a big role, as hunters move through unsafe areas where danger can appear without warning. Exploration and teamwork are rewarded, but mistakes can quickly turn into chaos when allies are attacked and need help right away.
