Metropolis 1998, developed by Yesbox Studios, blends the best elements of 90s city-builder titles and modernizes them for a pleasant strategic experience. Inspired by classics like SimCity and Cities: Skylines, the game offers complex simulations and detailed mechanics that meet the needs of your citizens.
In Metropolis 1998, you’ll shape your city by designing residential and industrial zones, creating power grids, and managing taxes. The game features an advanced pathfinding system for over 100,000 cars and people, each with daily routines and activities. You can even peek into your citizens’ lives by exploring their homes or switch between the isometric view of modern city-builders and the top-down perspective reminiscent of classic SimCity.
What sets Metropolis 1998 apart is its nostalgic pixel-art visual style; this retro aesthetic gives the game a charming appeal, making it a treat both for fans of the genre and for those who appreciate classic-looking games.
