Developer AstralShift has confirmed that Hell Maiden will enter Steam Early Access on July 16, giving players their first chance to explore a reimagined version of Dante’s Divine Comedy.

Rather than simply surviving endless waves of enemies, players build powerful card combinations throughout each run. Weapon cards, modifiers, blessings, and unique abilities can be stacked and merged to create increasingly devastating builds capable of tearing through Hell’s toughest inhabitants.

The Early Access version will include the first two circles of Hell, Limbo and Lust, alongside several recruitable companions known as the Poets of Limbo. Familiar historical figures such as Virgil, Homer, Horace, and Ovid all make appearances, helping shape both gameplay and the game’s evolving narrative.

Hell Maiden also features professional voice acting, while the opening theme, Not My Paradiso, is being created in collaboration with the popular Japanese band Mili, known for their work on several acclaimed games and anime projects.
