Belgian indie developer Maracas Studio has announced that Cat Mail Co. will officially launch on Steam on July 6, 2026, following a strong showing during Steam Next Fest. The charming post office simulator has already attracted more than 50,000 wishlists in just two weeks, proving there’s plenty of interest in a game that swaps high-stakes action for sorting packages in a world populated entirely by cats.

In Cat Mail Co., you arrive on Cat’s Island to find the local post office in complete chaos. The previous postman has mysteriously disappeared, parcels are piling up, and frustrated customers are running out of patience. Your job is to restore order by sorting, stamping, weighing, and organizing mail while gradually rebuilding the service.

There are no timers pushing you to rush and no penalties for taking your time. Instead, the focus is on finding a comfortable rhythm while unlocking new tools, destinations, and upgrades. Things also become a little stranger after sunset. As night falls, some parcels begin behaving in unusual ways, introducing a touch of mystery alongside the otherwise cozy atmosphere.

Adding to the appeal, Cat Mail Co. supports up to four-player co-op, allowing friends to work together to keep the post office running smoothly. If you’d like to see what the fuss is about, a free demo remains available on Steam ahead of launch.
