Good News Lets You Run a Newspaper During a Political Crisis

If you enjoy independent indie game coverage, consider supporting Indie-Games.eu on Patreon. It helps keep the site independent.

Running a newspaper sounds simple until politicians start calling, your reporters submit terrible articles, and your readers begin losing trust. That’s exactly the situation you will face in Good News, an upcoming simulation game from solo developer Augusto Salgado.

Rather than simply publishing stories, you’ll spend much of your time editing them. Reporters regularly submit drafts filled with mistakes, forcing you to correct errors, adjust tone, and decide which stories deserve front-page attention. Every decision can affect readership, reputation, and the future of the publication.

Politicians and powerful figures will also attempt to influence coverage, offering favors in exchange for positive headlines. You can play along, resist, or try to balance both sides, but every choice shapes the story and ultimately determines which ending you receive.

A free demo is already available on Steam, while the full release is expected on December 11, 2026.
