If you love co-op games, you should definitely check out Project Bridge

Project Bridge is a cooperative runner game where you can team up with up to three players in online and local multiplayer, and it can also be played solo. Your task is to gather resources, construct bridges over procedurally generated terrain, upgrade your character’s abilities, and get as far as possible before the mysterious void consumes you.

When I first saw Project Bridge from the Polish studio NE Games, the first thing that came to mind was: “Is this Minecraft or Unrailed?” Naturally, its aesthetic, style, and gameplay reminded me of those games, but this is ultimately a simpler party title meant to entertain your group for a while rather than keep you mining blocks for hours.

What makes it so special?

To make sure it’s not just walking left and right, you’ll have access to a powerful machine called the omnomnator, which can transform various resources into useful materials and storage options for transporting them, everything you need to get across to the other side more quickly. Since the emphasis is on speed, the game will test how fast you can turn trees into planks or stones into bolts. Items are heavy, so you’ll need teamwork to carry most things. Did someone say Moving Out 2?

Project Bridge boasts procedurally generated biomes, meaning you’ll frequently travel through forests, deserts, caves, mines, and other environments. Each biome brings its own creatures and natural hazards that can complicate your journey forward. Between levels, you can take a breather in a temple, a place where you can gain new skills or upgrade existing ones. Teamwork will be crucial in this game, and you can unlock 23 characters, ranging from regular humans to animals like pandas.

The game was created during live Twitch streams, with players themselves contributing to development. It was showcased at the PAX East game event in Boston and PGA, the biggest gaming event in Poland. The demo was played by 10,000 people, and the trailer (below) might intrigue you as well. If you’re a fan of party games like I am, you should definitely explore Project Bridge.

Project Bridge is currently available on PC via Steam and supports gamepad, Steam Deck, and Steam Remote Play.
