In Kingdom of Fallen, upon death, you find yourself in an unknown cursed kingdom. Your goal is to track down a missing daughter, defeat formidable bosses, fight for survival, craft weapons, build your future, and uncover secrets to escape this mysterious land.
Graphically impressive, Kingdom of Fallen: The Last Stand offers a wealth of content, including resources, armor, weapons, skills, powers, buildings, friendly NPCs, quests, and shops. Players can also choose locations to build houses or resting bases. Alongside survival and crafting mechanics, the game features engaging combat.
DigitalSouls promises a varied difficulty curve, with boss fights and enemies akin to other soulslike games, emphasizing observation, dodging, attacking, and potion management. Bosses feature challenging animations and attack patterns that are hard to avoid or block.
Players are rewarded through crafting weapons, tools, and items, each upgrade potentially making the game easier. Progressing through quests unlocks more of the world and resources, offering a nonlinear progression system.
Level design allows multiple paths to strengthen your character. Different locations provide different resources (e.g., dungeons yield iron ore, beaches yield flint) along with various curiosities in this small open world. A fast-travel system is included.
The game also features a dynamic day-night cycle and weather system, with creatures and enemies appearing at different times. Environmental conditions affect gameplay, and there are riding and flying mechanics.
Kingdom of Fallen: The Last Stand is expected in Q2 next year on PC via Steam.
