Neverway Has Been Announced: Blend of Horror, Life Simulation, and Action RPG

Coldblood Inc. and Outersloth have unveiled Neverway, a unique combination of horror, life simulation, and action RPG, co-created by the pixel artist known for their work on Celeste. The game will be available on Steam, although the exact release date has not yet been announced. The first trailer was shown during the recent Triple-i Showcase event.

The game’s plot follows Fiona who, after quitting her job, starts a new life on a farm, but also becomes the immortal herald of a dead god. While trying to cope with the usual challenges of life, she must confront the Neverway, a nightmarish reality that is slowly permeating her world.

Neverway offers more than 10 characters with whom players can develop friendly or romantic relationships, and each connection unlocks unique combat abilities. The combat itself is fast-paced and dynamic, with the ability to customize various styles that suit your playstyle through crafted items. In addition to combat, you can grow crops, fish, or decorate your home, and time is divided into three parts: morning, afternoon, and evening.

Along with the pixel artist from Celeste, the game’s music was created by Disasterpeace, known for the soundtracks of Hyper Light Drifter and Fez. Furthermore, Neverway promises dynamic cutscenes, expressive combat tailored for controllers, and an atmospheric horror story.
