Rusty’s Retirement has gained a lot of attention on Steam and social media. It’s an idle farming simulator you can leave in a corner of your screen while doing other tasks. The game is created by solo developer Mister Morris Game, and it’s expected to launch in the first quarter of 2024.

The game is very intuitive: you’ll plant crops, produce biofuel, automate tasks, and watch Rusty, your loyal robot, and his helpers work diligently, from watering plants to harvesting them. As you progress, you’ll unlock new crops, from juicy carrots to ripe tomatoes.

Organize a team of charming robots who will help you sow, irrigate, and harvest, and upgrade them to maximize efficiency. Then, use your crops to create clean, energy-efficient biofuel, the main power source for these robots. It will also be important to sell the biofuel to other mechanical inhabitants and reinvest your earnings to further develop your farm.

Rusty’s Retirement is designed to sit discreetly at the bottom of your screen, allowing you to multitask while tending your farm. You can adjust its size for a less intrusive view or activate Focus Mode, which slows crop growth.

It will be interesting to see how far this game goes, but one thing is certain: it will be released on PC via Steam.
