During this year’s Xbox Game Showcase, it was revealed that the ARPG and soulslike game Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn will be released on July 18 for PC via Steam and Epic Games, Game Pass, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

For those unfamiliar, this is a highly ambitious project from indie studio A44 Games in collaboration with publisher Kepler Interactive. Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is an action RPG with soulslike elements in which the Gods have been unleashed, and the wars between them have pushed humanity to the brink of extinction.

Nor Vanek, a member of the coalition army, sets off on a quest for vengeance. She is accompanied by Enki, a strange creature with magical powers, and throughout the game players will engage in large-scale battles against Gods, explore a dangerous open world, and master a variety of weapons, magic, and other tools.

A demo is currently available on Steam. It’s important to note that progress made in the demo will not carry over to the full game, but it offers a great opportunity to try the game before deciding to purchase.
