Publisher Graffiti Games and developer Fervir Games have announced that the monster-taming RPG Creature Keeper will be released on Steam on May 8, 2025. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer shown during The MIX Spring Game Showcase. In this retro-inspired action-adventure, you’ll be able to befriend unique creatures, customize your fighting style, and save the world.

Welcome to Thera, a magical land filled with fifty fantastic creatures that you can train and battle with in epic tactical fights. You embark on an adventure to restore balance and stop a plague that threatens the world with catastrophe. However, you cannot save Thera alone; you will need a team of unique creatures to help you on your journey.

To confront the corruption, you’ll need to upgrade your team, discover new skills and buffs, and learn all about the creatures you manage through battles. The choice of creatures is crucial for overcoming challenges. Creature customization is made possible through gameplay-altering skill gems, perks, weapons, and more, along with the option to dress your creatures in various hats.

Specific to this game compared to Pokémon is that you can fight side-by-side with your creatures, coordinating various attacks to defeat enemies.
