Duo Quest Turns Friendship Into a Roguelike Weapon

Duo Quest is a co-op only deck-building roguelike that quickly stands out with a personal idea. While it fits into the growing “friendslop” genre, it takes a very different path. Set in an 8-bit fantasy world, the game follows two adventurers on a shared journey to defeat the Demon King and his deadly creation the Bondbreaker.

The heart of Duo Quest lies in its unique deck-building system where, instead of normal attack cards, decks are made up of over 1,000 questions spread across more than 20 themes. These questions are asked during battles, and matching answers create strong combo attacks. Success depends not only on smart choices, but also on how well both sides understand each other, making communication and connection part of the strategy.

Runs take place across procedurally generated paths filled with secrets and surprises, encouraging replayability. Along the way, hundreds of cards can be unlocked, along with five distinct classes, each offering different card styles. Strange artifacts also add even more ways to shape a build and approach combat.

Duo Quest is built only for two-person co-op and supports shared or split-screen play, Steam Remote Play Together, and Family Sharing. A playtest for Duo Quest is currently available on PC via Steam.
