Summer Game Fest is getting ready for its biggest stage yet. Producer and host Geoff Keighley has confirmed that the main Summer Game Fest 2026 kickoff show will take place on Friday, June 5, 2026. For the first time, the live showcase will be held at the famous Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, a venue best known for hosting the Academy Awards for more than twenty years.

Over the years, Summer Game Fest has grown from a group of online streams into a large, shared celebration of the gaming industry. With E3 now gone, the festival has taken its place as the main hub for summer game announcements. The shift from the YouTube Theater to one of Hollywood’s most iconic locations shows just how much the event has grown, especially after a strong 2025 showcase that included major reveals like Resident Evil Requiem.

Big publishers and indie studios are both expected to take part. While millions of viewers will watch the show live online across major streaming platforms, a limited number of fans will be able to attend the event in person. Tickets for the live show are planned to go on sale in Spring 2026, with more details to be shared through the official Summer Game Fest website.
