Fellow Traveller and ORIGAME DIGITAL have released a brand-new story trailer for Penguin Colony, with demo version now available on Steam.

Set in Antarctica in 1939, the narrative follows two rival expeditions searching for something buried deep beneath the ice. One group consists of Nazis seeking power and proof of their supposed superiority, while the other is a group of Kaitiaki tasked with ensuring an ancient entity never awakens. Standing between these forces is an unlikely observer: a penguin.

Rather than putting you in the boots of a soldier or explorer, Penguin Colony tells its story through environmental exploration, fragmented narration, and the perspective of a curious penguin watching events spiral out of control. As the expedition progresses, you will witness obsession, paranoia, and madness consume those searching for answers in the frozen wilderness.

Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness and The Shadow Out of Time, the game leans heavily into cosmic horror while offering a unique perspective rarely seen in the genre.

Penguin Colony is set to launch later this year on PC via Steam, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving shortly afterward.
