The Dutch studio Square Glade Games has announced an open-world exploration game called Outbound, in which you manage a camper van, set to be released on the PC platform via Steam, with a currently undefined release date. Also, a Kickstarter campaign is coming soon.
I have to admit I didn’t expect such a charming title set in a near-utopian future. You start with nothing, with an empty camper that you then transform into the home of your dreams. Outbound simply encourages us to explore the open world at our own pace, where we will have to gather materials, craft various useful items, automate production, and integrate modular parts into our vehicle.
That’s not all that awaits us in this game; we will also have to worry about the power source, which means powering the camper with energy from the sun, wind, or water, and constantly advancing our technology to successfully adapt to various landscapes and changing environmental conditions. Additionally, Outbound introduces farming elements, where we will create gardens to grow delicate and delicious plants and mushrooms.
If you are interested in this title, you have the option to sign up for the Kickstarter campaign via the following link.
