Originally released in October 2025, roguelite beat ’em up Absolum quickly earned attention for its fluid combat and beautiful hand-drawn visuals. Now, the game is set to reach an even wider audience with its upcoming release on Xbox Series X/S and day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass on March 25, 2026.
Each run features changing levels, random upgrades, and branching paths that encourage experimentation. While failure sends players back to the start, persistent progression systems ensure that every attempt contributes to long-term growth, making each run feel rewarding rather than repetitive.
The game also offers a diverse roster of characters, each with unique abilities and playstyles. Whether wielding heavy weapons, casting magic, or relying on speed and agility, you can approach combat in different ways depending on their chosen hero.
The upcoming Xbox release is especially notable because the platform was initially skipped due to the team’s size and priorities. Following strong demand from players, the developers have now brought the game to Xbox, where it will also benefit from the visibility of Game Pass.
