At this year’s Gamescom, the latest gameplay trailer for Cairn was presented, a title we first saw during Summer Game Fest. The new trailer showcases the wide range of mechanics the game will offer. Additionally, the development team at The Game Bakers hinted that a demo will soon appear on Steam, with a planned release coming very shortly.
Cairn is a realistic mountaineering adventure that offers an intuitive climbing simulation, allowing players to naturally move their hands and feet. Players are free to explore the mountain, learn its terrain, and choose their own path. The goal of the game is to reach the summit of Mount Kami, a task easier imagined than achieved.
The game also features an expedition mode with two playable characters, various climbing styles, and several mountains to overcome. Afterward, players can compare their performance, including areas where they encountered challenges, with the results of other climbers.
Cairn is planned for release in 2025 for PC via Steam and consoles.
