Cute Relaxing Game About Cleaning Oil Spills, Spilled! Launches Later This Month

Independent developer living on a boat, Lente, has announced that her cozy game Spilled!, dedicated to cleaning oil spills, will be available on Steam starting March 26th for a price of just €6.99.

Through recycling, earning coins, and upgrading your boat, you explore new areas with more trash and new challenges. The game offers simple movement mechanics that allow you to enjoy the cleaning process without time pressure. Additionally, each area brings new challenges, such as pushing plastic to the recycling center, washing oil spills off the land, helping other boats find lost items, putting out forest fires, or magnet fishing.

Spilled! offers eight areas to clean, each one larger and with more trash than the last. As the water becomes cleaner, underwater life unique to each area is revealed. You will explore four different biomes: grassy, rocky, sandy, and snowy, while cleaning the environment and discovering the beauty of nature.

Lente began development on Spilled! at the end of 2022, after leaving school to follow her dream of living on a small boat, continuing the maritime lifestyle she grew up with. Although progress was slow initially, the game gradually gained popularity. In early 2024, Lente’s Kickstarter campaign was a great success, raising €31,600, which is 316% of her original €10,000 goal.
