Death Howl has been confirmed for a multi-platform release. Publisher 11 bit studios and developer The Outer Zone announced that the Soulslike deckbuilder will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on February 19, 2026. It will also launch on PC via Steam, with subscribers able to play it on Game Pass the same day.

The game follows Ro, a mother from a shamanic tribe who refuses to accept the loss of her child. Driven by grief, she descends into the spirit world in a desperate attempt to fight for a second chance. According to 11 bit studios, the journey represents a deeper look at sorrow, survival, and acceptance, all presented with a quiet but emotional tone.

Death Howl stays true to classic Soulslike ideas, where defeat is not a failure but part of the learning process. Resting revives enemies, forcing players to closely observe their behavior and adapt. This challenge is combined with turn-based, grid-based combat, where positioning and card choices determine success.

As Ro travels through strange and hostile regions of the spirit world, players explore in action-RPG fashion while shaping their deck of abilities. Each new area introduces fresh foes, new skills, and, most importantly, new cards to collect.
