June is going to be a much quieter month for major game releases. It makes sense, with a massive wave of summer showcases and Steam Next Fest right around the corner, launching a game right now is a huge gamble. Even so, June isn’t completely empty. We’ve still got some incredibly hyped titles on the way, so here are our top 12 indie games to watch out for this month.
In Battleship Command, you take command of the 30,000-ton Scharnhorst-class battleship in this immersive World War II naval simulator. Explore the meticulously recreated ship in first-person, walking its decks, bridges, and control rooms. Issue orders to your crew or directly control stations like gunnery, radar, navigation, and damage control as you lead your fleet through the Atlantic, Arctic, and Mediterranean seas.
Solarpunk
In Solarpunk, you explore and thrive in a beautiful, technically advanced world of floating islands. Alone or with friends in co-op, build and decorate your dream home base, grow and cook food, craft gadgets, and automate processes using renewable energy from sunlight, wind, and water. Hop aboard your airship to discover distant islands while embracing a relaxed, sustainable survival experience.
You play as Killer Bean, a rogue assassin coffee bean who takes out the trash one bullet at a time. In this third-person / first-person action roguelike, experience procedurally generated stories, missions, and open-world islands every time you start a new campaign as you battle armies of enemies and powerful Shadow Beans to take down the corrupt Shadow Agency.
In Atre: Dominance Wars, you awaken as an Elder sorcerer in a fractured world of merged dimensions torn apart by dark magic. In MECCHA CHAMELEON, you play a creative hide-and-seek multiplayer game where hiders paint their pure white bodies using an in-game palette to perfectly camouflage into the environment like real chameleons. Match colors, patterns, and textures, strike clever poses, and blend into walls, floors, or objects to fool seekers before time runs out in chaotic matches for up to 10 players.
In Burglin’ Gnomes, you and up to 5 friends play as tiny mischievous gnomes breaking into randomly generated human houses. In SpaceCraft, the universe is yours in this online multiplayer space exploration and building game.
