Just when you thought indie games couldn’t get any more unique, Death of a Wish appears. In this game, you play as Christian, who joins forces with others to confront a sinister cult.

Players must defeat enemies through magical combinations known as Arias in a sophisticated combat system that encourages tactical aggression, and enhance their abilities with powerful skills that change the flow of battle. As the journey progresses, Christian’s corruption grows, leading him toward a dark fate. Players can control this by executing elegant combos and delivering extended attacks.

The premise of Death of a Wish takes players through a dark dream world, encountering surreal characters and stories. The city of Neo-Sanctum sets the stage for battles that will shape society and Christian’s future, while hidden areas of the world offer opportunities to meet new allies. The game’s aesthetic is unique, with light and motion across a dark sea creating an emotional atmosphere. Battles are dynamic, easy to follow, and resemble animated sequences.

A demo is already available, with the full release expected in Q1 next year on PC via Steam.
