Developer BornMonkie has announced that Dodo Duckie! will launch for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch later in 2026, following its release today on Xbox Series X/S, Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store.
The charming puzzle platformer stands out by allowing you to switch between 2D side-scrolling and 3D exploration at any moment, turning perspective into a core gameplay mechanic. Using Capie the Capybara’s magical cap, players can reveal hidden paths, uncover secret platforms, and solve environmental puzzles by seamlessly shifting between dimensions.
You take control of Dodo, a determined duck on a mission to rescue their chicken family after they are abducted by a mysterious alien beam. The adventure spans a series of colorful planets filled with quirky characters, collectibles, and puzzles inspired by themes from The Ugly Duckling.
Beyond perspective swapping, Dodo can glide, float, swim, and interact with the environment in different ways to overcome obstacles. Exploration is rewarded with stardust, which can be exchanged for new hats, while hidden routes and optional secrets encourage players to revisit each world.
