IndieArk and developer PVic Games have announced that momentum-based 2D action platformer ARTIUS: Pure Imagination will launch for PC via Steam in the first quarter of 2027.

The game takes place in Rupestrine, a city shaped by generations of painters, musicians, dancers, sculptors and other artists. Its history changes when a jealous student named Pivolo takes control of the magical ARTIUS book and establishes an oppressive regime determined to remove art from society.

Players will control four former students of EdAN Art University: Pierre the Painter, Walter the Photographer, René the Musician and Guga the Dancer. Each character represents a different artistic discipline and comes equipped with unique abilities that can restore colour, music and imagination to the city.

Gameplay combines fast, momentum-driven platforming with character swapping, puzzles and exploration. Players can dash, swing and smash their way through hand-drawn environments while switching between the four artists to open new routes and uncover hidden secrets.

The journey will also feature surreal enemies attempting to erase creativity from existence, alongside fantastical characters scattered throughout Rupestrine. Players will need to master every artist’s movement and creative powers to challenge Pivolo’s regime and bring inspiration back to the world.
