Storebound is a co-operative survival horror game where you and your friends must escape an infinite, nightmarish store filled with hidden dangers. This title is being developed by Embers studio and will be available on PC via Steam. Although the release date has not yet been announced, Storebound has already accumulated 30,000 wishlists in its first two weeks.
In Storebound, you take on the role of one of four ordinary shoppers who wake up trapped in an endless store. The objective is simple: find the exit and escape before the sinister “employees” catch you. Each game is different; the layout of the store, the departments, the threats, and the available items change with every new attempt, ensuring that no two playthroughs are the same.
The game supports solo play or up to four players in online co-op. While it’s possible to escape alone, collaborating with friends significantly increases your chances of survival. You’ll be able to use proximity voice chat and walkie-talkies for coordination, but you must also be cautious—someone or something might be listening in. Wisely use tools like medkits for healing, traps, and detectors to outsmart the employees and find your way to freedom.
Storebound also features a dynamic day and night cycle, which adds tension and a strategic dimension to the gameplay. During business hours, the store is lit, allowing you to explore, survey the area, and gather key items before the lights go out. When the store closes, the employees roam freely, hiding in the shadows and hunting for intruders.
