The long-awaited sequel to the beloved action RPG Moonlighter has finally received its first gameplay trailer. Titled Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, the game will be released in 2025 for PC (Steam), Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Developed by Digital Sun and published by 11 bit studios, the sequel promises to expand on the unique blend of shop management and dungeon crawling, bringing new challenges, mechanics, and a fresh story.
In Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, you once again take on the role of Will, the adventurous merchant. This time, Will and his companions end up in the mysterious village of Tresna, trapped in a dimension far from home. To return, they must master both trade and combat, balancing running a shop with the dangerous exploration of unknown biomes.
The sequel builds upon the original game’s formula, blending shop management and dungeon exploration into a new experience. You will be able to invest in Tresna’s development, support local artisans, and unlock new possibilities as the village progresses. The trading system is now more elaborate, allowing you to personalize your shop with lavish decorations and attract even more customers.
The game also introduces new innovative mechanics, an expanded arsenal of weapons and equipment, and entirely new biomes full of treasure and enemies. By day, you will manage your shop, charm customers, and negotiate prices, while by night, you will explore dangerous dungeons, fight adversaries, and collect loot to upgrade your gear and business.
