Development studio ZPF Team and publisher Mega Cat Studios announced an all-new trailer revealing the story of the upcoming game ZPF. The video showcases the characters and worlds that players will explore in the long-awaited 16-bit horizontal shooter, set for release on Sega Genesis and Steam in the first quarter of 2025.
ZPF is a retro shooter inspired by classics like Lords of Thunder, Elemental Master, and the Thunderforce series. In this game, you must blast your way through cosmic challenges and epic boss battles in an adventure that blends fantasy, sci-fi, and alien worlds. You’ll dodge deadly bullet patterns while unleashing a rain of firepower upon unique and challenging enemies. Every completed level holds hidden secrets.
The game, which gathered over 1000% of its funding goal on Kickstarter, is narrated by Quibley, a storyteller with an exceptionally pleasant voice. He guides players deeper into the bizarre world of ZPF, revealing the game’s story, characters, and fantastical locations. Each world presents a strange environment, peculiar adversaries, and unforgettable bosses that will test players’ skills to their limits.
