Studio Ememe K.K. has announced an AI-NPC sandbox game Ememe that uses generative artificial intelligence to simulate character behavior and automatically generate 3D animations.

With generative AI technology, NPCs autonomously engage in conversations, take actions, build character relationships, and live their daily lives according to their own desires. You can create a reality drama, like The Truman Show, by creating new AI characters that live in the city, setting their personalities, and occasionally intervening in their actions.

NPC conversations are generated in real-time using an LLM, and animations are also automatically included. Using its proprietary technology, the AI predicts and generates appropriate facial expressions and body animations from over 1,000 motion data options based on conversations and scheduling. Your character will come to life, laughing, dancing, and automatically generating 3D animations, all without the need for complex development techniques.

The Early Access version of the game will be available in the summer of 2024 on PC via Steam.
