The developers of the upcoming RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 have confirmed the game’s length, and the price players can expect. A recent Amazon listing showed the PlayStation 5 version priced at $49.99, notably lower than the usual $69.99 price tag for new PS5 releases. While price doesn’t always reflect scope, many wondered whether Expedition 33 might be a smaller game.

Responding to the questions, Sandfall Interactive wrote on social media: “We’ve seen some questions about pricing and expected length for Expedition 33.” They confirmed the prices are accurate and explained that they chose a lower price to encourage more people to try the game: “We’re a small team with an indie spirit, and we’re building something we truly believe is special.”

They also revealed that players can expect over 30 hours of main story content, with additional gameplay for those who want to explore everything. This aligns with what creative director Guillaume Broche mentioned at this year’s Gamescom, that total playtime may vary based on player choice, but most players likely won’t reach 100 hours.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, slated for release next spring, launching day-one on Xbox Game Pass.
