Tiny Monks Tales and Daedalic Entertainment have released the official launch trailer for Woodo, offering one final look at its wonderfully tactile world before the cozy puzzle game arrives on September 16, 2026.
Woodo follows Foxy and Ben the Frog during a childhood summer remembered through a series of interactive wooden dioramas. Rather than completing traditional jigsaw puzzles, players find individual objects and place them into partially constructed scenes. Each piece clicks into position as environments gradually become colourful, complete memories.
It is a simple idea, but presentation appears to be doing most of the heavy lifting. The small houses, animals, plants and everyday objects resemble carefully painted toys, while the process of placing them provides the satisfaction of assembling something by hand. A friendly narrator accompanies the story, reflecting on a time when summer days felt endless and entertainment could be found outdoors.
There is no demanding timer or elaborate progression system competing for attention. The appeal seems to come from slowing down and watching an initially empty model fill with life. In a genre increasingly crowded with games described as “cozy,” Woodo at least has an immediately recognizable visual identity. The game also appeared in our Indie World Showcase 2026 roundup.
Tiny Monks Tales consists of two developers and a composer, with the studio describing Woodo as a project built around childhood wonder, warmth and playable visual satisfaction.
Woodo launches digitally for PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. A playable demo is also available across its supported platforms.
