Imagine running a gas station, not on Earth, but on a wandering asteroid in the middle of a infinite cosmos. That is the unique world of Interdimensional Gas Station, an upcoming sci-fi narrative game inspired by the eerie glow of a solitary ice machine seen during a late-night walk. Developed as a love letter to story-rich and atmospheric environments, this game allows you to manage a gas station while your decisions shape the fate of the galaxy.

In Interdimensional Gas Station, you take on the role of a space gas station operator, situated on a floating asteroid. Your job is to refuel and service increasingly complex spacecraft while interacting with the various travelers who come and go. Each visitor brings their own story; some are simple, while others offer branching narratives that can influence the outcome of the game.

The gameplay is inspired by classic titles like Papers, Please: you will have to meet the unique needs of each alien ship. As time passes, ships become more complex, requiring new tools and upgrades for your gas station. But the game isn’t just about refueling; your decisions shape the story. You could, for example, help someone catch a fugitive by providing the right coordinates—or deliberately send them in the wrong direction.

The story evolves through your interactions with the travelers. Some dialogues are short and simple, while others offer multiple endings that can affect the conclusion of the game. The choices you make, whether upgrading tools, expanding services, or choosing whom to help (or sabotage), will shape the fate of the galaxy.

A playable demo will be available next month on Steam, including complete storylines, victory and defeat conditions, ending animations, and a well-rounded gameplay loop. The full version of the game is planned for Summer 2025.
