A new trailer for The Séance of Blake Manor, a supernatural detective mystery set in Ireland in 1897, was presented during The MIX Spring Showcase. The game, developed by Spooky Doorway and to be published by Raw Fury, takes you to a remote hotel full of secrets and supernatural occurrences where you investigate the disappearance of Evelyn Deane. It will be available for PC via Steam, although the release date has not yet been announced.

The game’s plot unfolds on Halloween night in 1897, when a group of mystics from around the world gather in the west of Ireland to open a passage between worlds and communicate with the dead. However, 48 hours before the séance, Evelyn Deane vanishes. Detective Declan Ward is called in to find her and uncover the culprit before anyone else disappears.

As Detective Declan Ward, you will interview and interrogate a group of suspects to learn more about their motivations and uncover clues they might be hiding. All information is recorded in Declan’s journal, and found evidence is used to uncover the truth about Blake Manor and the mysterious séance that brought these strange guests together. Exploring the environment, solving puzzles, and accessing forbidden areas of the hotel are key to progression. However, every action and every minute lost reduces the time until the end of the day. It is essential to be in the right place at the right time to catch critical events relevant to the investigation.

The Séance of Blake Manor is being created by the developers of The Darkside Detective, and the game was shown with a beautiful comic-book art style. Inspired by Irish mythology and the Spiritualist movements of the Victorian Era, it combines supernatural elements with a classic detective mystery, so you can certainly expect a good narrative game.
