Studio Pixel Rice and publisher Niugamer announced that ANNIE: Last Hope, a twin-stick shooter with impressive HD voxel visuals, is being released on April 24, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, while the Steam version is already available. Set in a post-apocalyptic world of the 1990s, the game provides exciting combat, an appealing story, and challenging gameplay.

In ANNIE: Last Hope, you play as Annie, a young woman searching for her fiancé after a sudden invasion of monstrous creatures separates them. What starts as a desperate rescue mission escalates into a deeper mystery, where you uncover conspiracies and dark secrets behind the world’s collapse. The story intertwines themes of love, betrayal, and survival, with moral dilemmas and crucial decisions that shape Annie’s path through the zombie-filled wasteland.

The top-down shooter mechanics are fast-paced and intense, as you fight relentless waves of enemies. The combat is fluid, further enriched by the unique HD voxel art style that makes the environments vivid and destructible. You will also navigate diverse levels, from dense forests and abandoned schools to chaotic highways and cramped elevators, each with new challenges and encounters.
