Publisher Playtonic Friends and developer Castle Pixel have announced that Cattle Country, a cozy cowboy life simulator, will be released on May 27, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Cattle Country blends relaxing elements of daily life with action-adventure content, offering an interpretation of the Wild West. You play as a settler building a new life in the fictional Hill Valley community, where daily tasks include farming, mining, fishing, and crafting. From raising cattle to building a home, the game captures the hard work and life on the frontier.
In addition to taking care of your animals, you will also socialize with a diverse community of locals, swapping stories to build strong bonds. The game offers 18 characters with whom you can start romances or just form friendships. However, not everyone in Cattle Country has friendly intentions; bandits and shady characters lurk, requiring you to protect your home and uncover conspiracies to keep the community safe.
