It was announced at tinyBuild Connect that the open-world extraction shooter SAND is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, in addition to the previously announced PC version on Steam later this year. The new trailer highlights the PvPvE combat and sets the stage for a dune-filled adventure.
In the role of a desert pirate, you explore the ravaged planet of Sophie, where the ruins of a former civilization hide valuable loot. However, you are not alone. Rival players and various creatures lurk in the sand, ready to steal your spoils. Your safety depends on the Trampler, a gigantic mobile base that you build from scratch. These colossal machines serve for transport, storage, and as a fortress protecting you from storms and enemies. Furthermore, you can upgrade these Tramplers with turrets, armor, and gadgets.
Since it is an open world, you will be able to find dilapidated cities, destroyed ships, and ancient monuments at every turn while searching for resources and weapons. tinyBuild promises intense shooting, chaotic situations as you move from one Trampler to another, and possible large-scale confrontations, both against other players and various creatures. As is typical in games of this genre, once you gather your loot, escaping is crucial.
