Kicking off Gamescom 2025 with a major announcement, 11 bit studios and Digital Sun Games revealed that their highly anticipated sequel, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, will begin its journey in Early Access on October 23. This continuation of the beloved shopkeeping adventure will be available on Steam.

Much like its predecessor, the new title places you back in the shoes of Will, the business-savvy adventurer. This time, Will finds himself stranded in the mysterious village of Tresna and must find a way home through an interdimensional mess. This quest requires all of his skills, blending the familiar loop of dungeon crawling—complete with dodge rolls, combat, and looting, with the clever shopkeeping that made the first game a fan favorite.

According to the developers, the decision to launch in Early Access was made to ensure the game reaches its full potential. While the core adventure is nearly complete, a few parts of the journey still require polishing. Starting on day one of Early Access, you will be able to explore three distinct biomes, each filled with unique enemies. You can then return to your shop with over 120 relics to sell, setting prices, serving customers, and customizing their space.

The combat system has received a significant update, promising a smoother and more improved feel. You will have access to four main weapon types and nearly 100 different perks for both the shop and the dungeon.
