Erene’s Furnace of War DLC Expands AI Limit as the Game Rises to a Very Positive Steam Rating

AI Limit, the sci-fi action RPG from Sense Games and CE-Asia, continues to build momentum following its launch earlier this year. At WePlay 2025, the studio announced Erene’s Furnace of War, a major DLC that promises to push players to their limits. The expansion introduces a high-difficulty story chapter built around randomized card mechanics, new bosses, and a dedicated boss rush mode.

Alongside this paid expansion, players can also look forward to a free story-focused DLC. This upcoming add-on will introduce new characters and additional lore, further fleshing out the world’s narrative foundation. By November 2025, several patches addressing performance issues, balance concerns, and quality-of-life improvements have helped boost the game’s Steam rating from “Mixed” at launch to “Very Positive”.

Released on March 27, 2025 AI Limit is the first project from Sense Games and was developed with support from Sony’s China Hero Project. The game draws heavily from the Soulslike tradition, weaving its challenging combat through an anime-inspired post-apocalyptic setting.

AI Limit is available on PC via Steam and PlayStation 5. No release date has been set for the new DLC yet.
