Publisher Fireshine Games and developer Weird Beluga Studio have released a new gameplay trailer for Duskfade, their upcoming 3D action-platformer that proudly wears its PlayStation 2 influences on its sleeve. From the moment it was revealed, Duskfade has positioned itself as a nostalgic throwback to the golden era of 3D platformers.

The new gameplay trailer was recently showcased during the New Game Plus Showcase, where the developers also revealed new boss fight footage. Drawing inspiration from beloved classics such as Jak and Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, and Kingdom Hearts, the game blends fast-paced movement, expressive environments, and stylish combat with modern visuals and smooth controls.

What’s especially encouraging is that players don’t have to rely on trailers alone. A playable demo is currently available on Steam, allowing fans to get hands-on with Duskfade’s platforming and combat systems. Duskfade is currently scheduled to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC via Steam.
