Fans of monster-collecting RPGs will soon have another adventure to dive into. Publisher Team17 and developer Beehive Studios have confirmed that Lumentale: Memories of Trey will launch on Steam and the Nintendo Switch on May 26, 2026, introducing a story-driven twist to the popular creature-collecting genre.

Set in the colorful, Italian-inspired region of Talea, the game follows Trey, a young hero who awakens with no memory of his past. Determined to uncover the truth about who he is and what happened to him, Trey sets out on a journey across a world filled with secrets, unusual creatures, and characters who may hold pieces of the puzzle.

Along the way, players will capture and train more than 140 creatures known as Animon. Each one features unique elemental traits and emotional attributes that can influence battles and team strategies. You will assemble teams, explore diverse regions, and take part in both story-driven PvE gameplay and competitive PvP matches against friends.

Lumentale also expands beyond traditional monster battles with additional systems designed to deepen the experience. Players can cook meals using gathered ingredients, craft helpful resources, and even collect special in-game art cards representing their Animon. These cards can be traded locally or online through the game’s Animon Trade Station.

Another feature, called the Anispace, allows you to create a comfortable environment where their creatures can train and relax. Furniture and decorations can be crafted or purchased from vendors, letting you also personalize a home base for your growing collection.
