New York-based developer Pahdo Labs announced Starlight Re:Volver, a colorful action RPG entering Early Access on PC via Steam in 2025. The game combines anime-inspired art, cooperative multiplayer gameplay, and roguelite mechanics in a world full of adventure and mystery.
In Starlight Re:Volver, players explore two distinct worlds. The first is the futuristic metropolis Nishi Island (NIM), a bustling city powered by advanced technology. The second is So Mi, a mysterious, dreamlike realm that sustains NIM’s prosperity. Players take on the role of “Divers,” using devices called “Re” to travel between these two worlds in search of treasure and adventure.
The game features a fully voiced cast, including novice Effy, veteran Akira, laid-back mentor Ren, and tech expert Violet. Together, they guide players through the lively streets of NIM and the strange, fantastical landscapes of So Mi. As players progress, they uncover the secrets of Re and face risks in the surreal, dreamlike territories they explore.
Inspired by ’90s and early 2000s anime, Starlight delivers fast, stylized combat. Players can customize character appearances and abilities, allowing different playstyles and teamwork in a four-player co-op mode. The game also includes a social hub where players can relax, stargaze, fish, craft items, and enjoy other activities.
