Upcoming narrative adventure from GoldFire Studios Arctic Awakening is set to launch on September 18, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. After a five-year development journey, the game is ready to invite players into a chilling first-person adventure that blends survival, mystery, and emotional depth.

It puts you in the role of Kai, a pilot who finds himself stranded in the unforgiving Arctic wilderness after his plane is mysteriously torn in two during a storm. Your only companion is Alfie, a court-mandated therapy bot.

Together, you must brave subzero temperatures to find your missing co-pilot, Donovan, and unravel the strange phenomena behind your crash. The game has been compared to titles like Firewatch and The Long Dark for its atmospheric storytelling and survival elements.

Arctic Awakening is presented as a five-chapter episodic journey, with each chapter lasting one to two hours. The gameplay focuses on exploration across Arctic vistas and enigmatic sci-fi structures, with player choices directly impacting your relationships and the narrative’s outcome. The developers also have created a dynamic weather system that makes the environment a character in itself, fostering a constant atmosphere of discovery and unease.
