Blood of Mehran looks like the perfect mix of Assassin’s Creed and Prince of Persia

On paper, a game that mixes Assassin’s Creed and Prince of Persia elements, especially one set in Persia, sounds like a great idea. While Blood of Mehran may not be as polished as a AAA title due to its indie budget, it offers flashy, dynamic combat and impressive graphics. My biggest question is how well it will run?

Since I played Ertugrul of Ulukayin, a game with a similar concept, earlier this year, I was left disappointed by its poor optimization and underwhelming gameplay. Blood of Mehran seems to be heading in the same direction, but I could be wrong. With the demo unavailable and the game releasing on October 7th, many questions remain unanswered.

Coming from Australian publisher Blowfish Studios and Turkish developer Permanent Way, this action-adventure game is inspired by Persian fantasy tales and the mystique of One Thousand and One Nights. Fans on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam) can look forward to a rewarding hack-and-slash combat system. It allows players to experiment with a variety of weapon combinations, including a sword and shield, double swords, or a bow and arrow.

Finally, it’s worth mentioning that the game includes stealth and cover mechanics, so you aren’t always forced to use brute force. Additionally, the adventure takes place in a realistic recreation of Ancient Mesopotamia, where players can gallop across sand dunes, explore city streets, and search the world for collectibles and secrets.
