Brightfall Combines Co-op Survival, Roguelite Progression, and Celtic Horror

Independent studio Dark Point Games has premiered its ambitious new title Brightfall, an upcoming co-op open-world survival roguelite set on a cursed Celtic island erased from English maps. Coming to Steam in 2026 and consoles after that, the game asks up to four friends to explore, gather resources, and fight to push back a darkness that thinks for itself.

In Brightfall, staying alive is a constant shared fight against time, low supplies, and the spreading darkness. Whether you play alone or with up to three friends, you must find things, make tools, and protect a shared fire. If one player falls, their teammates, either alive or as ghosts, can use a Resurrection Token to bring them back before they are fully lost.

The game’s roguelite style means that failing is just a short delay, not the real end. What you learn from the darkness, like new skills, plans for items, and better, lasting tools, stays with you for the next attempt. This progress lets you go deeper each time, clean out areas, and build safe spots that remain even when the island resets. What starts as a small campfire slowly grows into a “safe place of fire and iron,” a bright light meant to beat the darkness.

After the Steam launch in 2026, the studio also plans to release Brightfall on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
